don't feel ashamed, atall, ever. you haven't been playing games or attention seeking, i doubt that very much. an anonymous blog wouldn't be condusive with seeking attention.
I think you're ace. I admire your strength. Strength that you don't even see in yourself, but is evident to others.
I think that you have coped extremely well given the circumstances. Many many people crumble under that kind of pressure, years of prolonged pressure. You haven't, you're here. You are who you are and thats why people like you.

Thats what I reckon xx

Ha ha ha. The end bit made me smile.
For me, it kind of isn't all to do with courage. There's something about retaining dignity in there as well. I wouldn't be devestated about people reading this blog. But it's not what I would choose to first tell people. And mostly, I'd never tell them. It's a small part of things. There are far more interesting things about my life. The stuff I put on my real blog.
It's amazing how much better life gets isn't it.
I feel very very lucky most of the time, just by how very ordinary my life is!
You take care too

Thank you for the shout out. :0)

Yes, I think our goals were similar, just expressed in different ways. I wanted access to all of myself, and I wanted not to reject any part of myself. I also wanted a memory that did not have as many holes as a slice of swiss cheese. (That is still coming together.)

I am with you on wanting the flashbacks to stop. I call the "diaper" part of raising my inner child. LOL

So much of my healing has started out as one thing and then turned into another. For example, yoga and meditation have been key for me to silence the inner chatter and love all of myself. However, that is not why I started. Honestly, I just wanted to be able to calm down enough to sleep through the night, and somebody told me that yoga and meditation would help with that goal. Who knew it would run so much deeper?

One more thing -- I am not quite as brave as you gave me credit for. Faith Allen is a pen name. A handful of people know my real name, but I am not yet ready for my kid's Sunday School teacher or my husband's professional partners to google my real name and learn this level of detail about my life. :0)

Take care,

- Faith
